V.I.P. Training Certificate
A V.I.P. Training Certificate will be issued on completion of the basic 2 day training course to the satisfaction of the Eighteen And Under approved V.I.P. trainer. This Certificate is an essential requirement for seeking registration as an approved V.I.P. Worker or V.I.P. Trainer.
Currently the training consists of;
- Shared experience of prevention work
- An outline of prevention strategies
- The V.I.P. background
- The research and evidence of need and value
- School policy and how to fit in with it and work effectively with teachers
- How to deliver V.I.P. effectively and what helps young survivors tell
- The different V.I.P. packs and contents
- How the packs all fit together, programming and planning
- Best and most effective methods of delivery
